Max Gomez & Howe Gelb at Old San Ysidro Church Corrales
August 26 · 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Howe Gelb, the Giant Sand patriarch who has spent forty years making the Sonoran Desert sound like a feeling, shares a bill with Max Gomez, a New Mexican singer-songwriter who earns the word ‘timeless’ in a way most people only borrow it. The venue is a 300-year-old adobe church in Corrales, which means the acoustics are an act of God and the parking situation is not, so arrive with time to spare. This one is off the Central corridor, but the drive up through the bosque on a late August evening is its own argument for going.
