Spanish Harlem Orchestra at Old Town
August 28 · 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm

The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, a Grammy-winning nine-piece salsa dura outfit from New York, brings the kind of hard-bop Latin brass that doesn’t get softened for festival crowds. The museum’s outdoor amphitheater sits at the edge of Old Town and carries sound well on a late-August night, but the grassy slope fills early and latecomers end up behind the sightlines. This is the 20th year of the New Mexico Jazz Festival, and they booked accordingly.
