Viva México Music & Dance at NHCC Barelas

This two-act, 90-minute production at the NHCC’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre moves through centuries of Mexican cultural history, from Aztec ceremony to varsovianas, spoken poetry, and live Mariachi Xochitl. The Albuquerque Journal Theatre is a proper sit-down house with good sightlines and real production values, so this is a more polished evening than a typical community showcase. Tickets are free but require a reservation through the NHCC website, and for an event of this scope on a Sunday evening in Hispanic Heritage Month, seats will go.
