Heavy Metal Showcase at El Rey

Four local and regional heavy bands stack a Friday night at the Mezzanine, which sits above El Rey’s main floor and runs tighter and louder than most rooms its size. The Mezzanine cap is low enough that a decent turnout makes the whole thing feel like an event, so arriving early matters more here than at the bigger venues down Central. Tickets are through Hold My Ticket, which means you can pick them up at several spots around town if you’d rather not pay the online fee.
