John Rangel Quintet Live Jazz

Pianist John Rangel brings a quintet format to Outpost’s long-running Summer Thursday Jazz Nights series, now in its 30th year, with reedman Rick Keller and drummer Robby Beasley rounding out a lineup built from some of the more serious working jazz musicians in this region. Outpost is a listening room in the genuine sense: the audience there actually listens, which either sounds obvious or deeply appealing depending on how many bar gigs you’ve tried to enjoy over crowd noise.
