Rival Sons have spent the better part of fifteen years proving that the kind of raw, riff-forward rock most people assumed died with the seventies is still a live thing, and a night with them tends to convert skeptics. The Sunshine’s room is big enough to let the sound breathe but small enough that the stage feels close, which matters a lot for a band whose whole argument depends on physical presence. The Blue Stones are a genuinely good draw in their own right, so arriving early is the actual move here.
