William Parker is one of the most consequential bassists in free jazz, and this trio with Hamid Drake on drums and Cooper Moore on homemade instruments is about as serious as this music gets. Outpost is a small, acoustically honest room, which means nowhere to hide and nothing lost, a genuine advantage for a set built on texture and space. Tickets are through Hold My Ticket, so sort that out in advance rather than assuming the door handles it.
