Babydoll's is the only club in Albuquerque built around jazz and blues, and the owner, a former Raelette who sang with Ray Charles, leads the house quintet on weekend nights. Local jazz and blues players take the stand on the other open nights.

About the room

The club sits in the Park Square shopping center on Americas Parkway in Uptown, a strip-center address that hides a dressed-up listening room. Its owner moved to Albuquerque in 2012 with the club already in mind. There is no kitchen, and the bar pours cocktails, wine, beer and zero-proof drinks.

Before you go

It's 21 and over and cashless, there's a cover at the door, and the house asks guests to dress to impress. Reservations are strongly encouraged; check babydollshouseofjazz.com for current hours.
