Bourbon & Boots opened over Thanksgiving weekend 2019 calling itself the first country bar downtown, and its big open dance floor at Fourth and Central gets used. Local bands and DJs take the weekend nights, mixing country with rock and hip-hop.
About the room
The 3,500-square-foot room at 325 Central Ave NW had been a failed nightclub before a rebuild gave it a custom wood bar styled after an Old West saloon and a patio for summer. It doubles as a sports bar, with TVs around the room and a long bourbon list behind the bar.
