Casa Vieja – Corrales
Albuquerque / THE ROOM

Why this room makes the map
Casa Vieja brews its own beer inside one of the oldest buildings in Corrales, an 18th-century house with earthen walls up to 30 inches thick. Roofers once found a 1600s Spanish oil portrait of a French duke up there, and it now hangs near the entrance.
About the room
The house at 4541 Corrales Road has been a family home, a small hospital and, from 1970, a fine dining restaurant run by Frank and Sonya Bentley. The Socha family bought it in 2016 and opened a brewery in 2018, and local musicians and food trucks now work the patio. The building is on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties.
Before you go
Corrales is its own village north of Albuquerque's Westside. The music is outdoors on the patio, so bring a layer for cool evenings, and check oldcasanm.com for the lineup and current hours.
