Effingbar is a West Side neighborhood bar where fourteen HD screens carry the games and karaoke and live music fill other nights. It has been open on Sequoia Road since 2010, long enough to build a loyal crowd of regulars.
About the room
The name nods to the owner's hometown of Effingham, Illinois, and the menu runs with the joke, down to the Effing Burger, a ten-ounce Angus patty with bacon and green chile. It took over the original Gin Mill location and pairs New Mexican plates with a draft list that includes local beer.
