Why this room makes the map
The 708 is the main indoor room on FUSION's downtown arts campus, a 50-by-50-foot performance space beside a lobby gallery on First Street NW. Theater, concerts, comedy, dance and film all rotate through it.
About the room
FUSION Theatre Company leased 700 First St. NW in January 2001, a building that had sat empty for 18 years, and rebuilt it as The Cell. The company later took over neighboring buildings on the block, including the 708, and added an outdoor stage called The Meadow, for a campus of more than 35,000 square feet.
Before you go
The 708, The Cell and The Meadow share one block but are separate spaces, and The Meadow is outdoors, so read your ticket for the room. See fusionnm.org for the current schedule.
