North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center
Albuquerque / THE ROOM
Why this room makes the map
A $5.2 million expansion, finished just as the pandemic arrived, gave this Northeast Heights center an outdoor amphitheater, a two-story gym with a running track upstairs and a rock climbing gym. Youth programs and senior services share the building.
About the room
The City of Albuquerque runs the center at 7521 Carmel Ave NE, near Wyoming Boulevard. Weekday lunch is free for people 60 and up, and the rooms can be rented for events after hours.
Before you go
Annual membership is $20, and the city offers fee waivers. See the center's page on cabq.gov for current hours and what's scheduled.
