The Place

The Sunshine is the big downtown room, a 1924 theater on Central that has been putting bodies in front of a stage for a century. This is where the national tours land when they need real capacity, hip-hop and metal and everything in between, the shows that sell out and spill onto the sidewalk after.

The balcony, the floor, the old bones of the place all do their part. It is the room where an Albuquerque show feels like an event. Most nights are all-ages with a bar for those old enough, but check the listing, the terms move show to show.
