The County Line of Albuquerque
Albuquerque / THE ROOM

Why this room makes the map
The County Line sits up on Tramway Boulevard NE with the Sandias at its back, and the main dining room looks west over the city for summer sunsets and city lights after dark. It has also run a local music series on weeknights.
About the room
The Albuquerque location opened in 1980 as the only County Line outside Texas, where the barbecue chain started in Austin in 1975. Inside it is an old-style roadhouse with distressed wood and walls of bric-a-brac, serving brisket and ribs the Texas way.
Before you go
Reservations go through Resy, and the parking lot gets crowded on busy nights. Ask for a table out front to see the city or in the back to see the mountains, and check countyline.com for current hours.
