Why this room makes the map
UNM's ARTSLab has mixed art with emerging tech since 2005, starting with planetarium-style shows in a 16-foot projection dome. Its public programs include multimedia dance, exhibitions and hands-on AR and VR open to the wider Albuquerque community.
About the room
The lab is part of the College of Fine Arts and has worked out of a former Cadillac showroom with a mid-century stone front at 131 Pine St NE, across University Boulevard from main campus. It is slated to move in fall 2026 into the new Center for Collaborative Arts and Technology at Central and Stanford.
